An orthopedic control valve with modified vacuum line specification was phased into production as of MY 1990 for model 124 and as of December 1989 for model 129 (Figs. 1 and 2).
Note:
If a previous version control valve (A) is replaced with a modified version valve (B, Fig. 1), then the pneumatic vacuum line connections on the valve connector must also be changed (Fig. 2).

B. Removal of Orthopedic Seat Control Valve
The control valve is secured with a detent spring (arrow, Fig, 3). On model 124 this spring engages in the plastic frame, and on model 129 in the forward trim of the seat cushion frame.
Model 124
Push plastic wedge into recess of frame (1, Fig, 4).
Press in the detent spring using wedge. Remove control valve from front of frame and disconnect pneumatic vacuum line harness.
Model 129
Remove driver's seat cushion (job no. 91-055). Press the control valve out of the trim of the seat frame from below with your hand (Fig. 5). Remove control valve towards the front and disconnect pneumatic vacuum line harness.
Note:
On Model 129 vehicles manufactured prior to May 1990, when replacing control valve with modified version, also replace the foam padding (arrow, Figure 5) under the valve with a pre-shaped piece. The pre-shaped foam should be attached to the Figure 5 seat cushion frame with double-sided tape.
Only the modified version is available from the PDC.
