Starting in September 1990, a modified driver's seat armrest has been phased-in. When the driver's seat is tilted forward, a mechanism in the seat back frame lifts the revised armrest slightly from the horizontal position (Figure 1)

Note: The modified armrest, which can be identified by the protruding shaft on the mounting flange (Figure 2), can only be installed on seat back frames equipped with the lifting mechanism.


Installation note:

To avoid damage to the lifting mechanism, the modified armrest should only be installed in the vertically latched position.
