Remove and Install Driver's Backrest Cover

Removal and installation of driver's backrest cover






Head restraint (1), remove and install, for this purpose ,set head restraint completely in upward direction, push lock through clamping member (arrow) and pull out head restraint

Driver's or front passenger's seat, remove and install

Handwheel (2), pull off

Trim (3) and (4), force off with plastic wedge

Screws (5) on backrest fitting, unscrew 2 each and remove backrest from seat cushion

Handwheel (6), uniformly force off with 2 plastic wedges. Handwheel (6) and cover (7) must be renewed following disassembly

Locks of plastic cover (7), unbend and remove from shaft

Cover (10), pull laterally out of plug-in channel while compressing backrest frame (11)

Screw (8), unscrew 2 each

Clamping member (9), pull downward and remove

Cover (10), disengage at bottom and top

Tightening strip on plastic bracket (12), disengage

Round wire clamp (14), pull out

Clamp (13) disengage 8 each and release nettle cloth laterally of rubber hair mat (15)

Rosette (16) carefully separate with screwdriver and remove eye (17)

Cover (10) remove from rubber hair mat.
For installation proceed vice versa.
