Sunroof / Moonroof Panel: Adjustments

Adjusting Sliding Shoes at Front:
1 Remove tilting/sliding sun roof headlining. Service and Repair





2 Loosen fastening screws on sliding angle pieces front left and right and push sliding angle pieces inward until the sliding shoes are abutting laterally and the tilting/sliding sun roof is located accurately in center of cutout.





3 Since the tilting/sliding sun roof frame has tolerances with regard to its total width, the lateral clearance must be checked at several points. For this purpose, unsrew control cable on sliding carrier and move tilting/sliding sun roof top panel manually.

Height Adjustment, Front:





4 Open tilting/sliding sun roof and loosen fastening screws on slide rails.





5 Adjust height adjusting screw at left and right in such a manner that the front edge of the closed tilting/sliding sun roof is 0 to 1 mm deeper than the roof outer skin.
6 Tighten fastening screws of sliding rails.

Height Adjustment, Rear:
7 Make two centering pins (unless already available).





8 Remove tilting/sliding sun roof headlining. Then close sliding roof. Service and Repair





9 Loosen screws on retaining brackets left and right.





10 Plug centering pin into centering bore left and right.
11 Adjust tilting/sliding sun roof top panel in such a manner that it is flush with roof or up to 1 mm deeper starting from slide position at the rear in the curved area.
12 Tighten screws on retaining brackets left and right.
13 Pull out centering pin and install tilting/sliding sun roof headlining.
