A. Installation of Mounting Hardware
1. Remove contents from shipping box and verify against parts information list.2. Remove the trunk floor mat.

3. Using the bottom mounting bracket (2, Figure 1) as a template, place it at the left hand side edge of the spare wheel compartment. The rear edge of the bracket should be 140 mm (5.5 in.) from the rear wall (carpeted) of the trunk (Figure 2).
4. Mark the outline of the bracket "Footprint". Using a sharp blade cut away the padding, remove it and clean the surface.
5. Reposition the bottom mounting bracket. Ensure its proper alignment along the edge. Mark the location of the two mounting holes, center punch the markings, drill 5mm holes and paint them with zinc paint.
6. Assemble the CD changer shell (1) and the bottom mounting bracket (2) using four 5x10 mm bolts (Figure 1).

7. Position the top mounting bracket on the CD changer shell as shown in Figure 3 and fasten it with a 6x12 mm bolt.
8. Temporarily install the CD changer shell assembly and fasten the bottom bracket with two 6.3x1 6 mm sheet metal screws.
9. Mark the location of the mounting hole for the top mounting bracket. Drill a 6 mm hole through the liner into the liner support bracket. Using a crayon, lightly mark the outline of the top mounting bracket on the liner.
10. Remove the CD changer shell assembly and remove the top mounting bracket.
11. Remove the left rear wheel well liner. Locate the mounting hole for the top mounting bracket and paint it with zinc paint.
12. Clean all debris from the drilling.
13. Remove the long shipping screws from the CD changer and install them in two of the four storage holes on the bottom of the CD changer. Loosely install the lower two (short) 4 mm mounting bolts in their place.
