Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

The EDS can be checked for trouble codes by an integral program in the EDS control unit. Trouble codes can be found by connecting an on-off ratio tester to the EDS test connector. The number of needle sweeps indicates where the fault lies within the EGR system.
