Electronic Idle Speed Control

1. Connect digital tester and check throttle linkage for freedom of movement.
2. Start engine, warming it to normal operating temperature and disconnect throttle linkage.
3. Check idle speed and adjust if idle speed is not 700 ±50 RPM.
4. Adjust the idle speed by backing off locknut and turning vacuum control unit. After proper idle speed has been attained, snugly tighten locknut.
5. Reconnect the throttle linkage, making sure that the linkage fits without moving the linkage. If it does not, adjust the throttle linkage.
6. Turn on all electrical units and check engine for a smooth idle.
