Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Description and Operation

The RPM sensor reads the engine speed and creates an AC voltage signal for delivery to the control unit. The control unit receives the signal and performs a nominal-actual value comparison. During this process, the idle speed is maintained at a contant speed by the electromagnetic actuator.
