Rear Door Window Motor: Service and Repair

Removal and Replacement of Rear Door Power Window Mechanism

Removal

1. Let crank window down.
2. Remove door lining and pull sealing sheet from inner door panel.






3. Remove cover on plug coupling and remove the two cables from window opener motor.
4. Unclip cable from window opener motor on inner door panel.






5. Unscrew the screw and the two nuts on window opener motor.
6. Remove screw bolts on window opener motor through inner door panel in inward direction.






7. Remove window opener arm on window opener rail toward the rear and position window opener motor at upper assembly hole.
8. Push up crank window and secure by means of a wedge.






9. Loosen upper screw on window run channel and unscrew lower screw.






10. Swivel rear window run channel forward and remove window opener with motor in downward direction.

Installation






Note: Set lower stop by means of screw (arrow) on window opener arm.

11. For installation proceed vice versa. Connect electric connections on plug coupling in such a manner that the numbers on coupling and cable are in agreement.
