Removal and Replacement of Front Door Power Window MechanismA. Sedan
Removal
1. Let crank window down.
2. Remove door lining and pull sealing sheet from inner door plate.
3. Loosen electric connections on cable connector.
4. Unscrew screw on window lifting rail.
5. Unscrew fastening screws on window opener.
6. Unscrew nuts on window opener and move fastening bolts out of inner door panel.
7. Pull guide piece in forward direction Out of rail.
8. Push crank window up and hold in position with a wedge.
9. Remove window opener with motor in downward direction.
Installation
Note: During installation, pay attention to perfect seat of guide piece. Prior to installing door lining, adjust crank window. Tighten all fastening screws on window opener to 9 Nm.
Note: Set lower limit by loosening screw (arrow) on stop.
10. For installation proceed vice versa.
B. Coupe
Removal
1. Remove door lining.
2. Remove sealing sheet on inner door panel.
3. Open crank window.
4. Remove screws on window opening bar.
5. Push up crank window and hold by means of a wedge.
6. Disconnect battery.
7. Separate electric connections of window opener motor on cable connector.
8. Unscrew fastening screw on window opener.
9. Unscrew nuts on window opener and remove fastening bolts from inside door panel.
10. Remove window opener with motor through assembly hole.
Installation
11. For installation proceed vice versa.
Note: While tightening, simultaneously push screw on window opener down. If the sealing sheet on inner door plate has been damaged, renew prior to installing door lining (part no.126 727 02 87). Connect electric cables of the same color together.
