Compressor/Pump: Testing and Inspection

Pressure Oil Pump Test

126 Series

The pressure oil pump should be checked whenever one or more of the following conditions exist: specified cut-out pressure cannot be reached when checking valve unit pressure regulator; switching period time is excessive; system warning lamp lights occasionally at low engine speed. Pressure test kit No. 126589022100 is required for performing this test.
1. Check oil level in suspension system and correct as necessary.
2. Disconnect pressure hose from oil pump to valve unit pressure regulator.
3. Assemble pump test valve to pressure gauge using adapter and pressure testing line. Also, install distributor and vent screw into bottom of pressure gauge.
4. Connect test hose to pressure gauge, using coupling as needed, and insert pump test valve into a suitable measuring container with a capacity of approximately 1 liter.
5. Start engine and run at idle while observing pressure gauge. Gauge needle should level out at pressure reading of approximately 200 bar (2900 psi).
6. Measure delivery quantity. Pump should deliver .2 liter of oil in 30 seconds with engine running at 1000 RPM and .45 liter of oil in 30 seconds with engine running at 2000 RPM.
7. Stop engine, then release pressure by opening vent screw in distributor.
8. Reconnect pressure line to pump, then check suspension oil level and correct as necessary.
