Central Reservoir Gas Filling Pressure Check

Central Reservoir Gas Filling Pressure Check

126 Series

This check should be performed if the system warning light on the instrument panel remains lit with the ignition switch in the On position and the engine not running. Pressure tester kit No. 126589022100 is required for performing this check.
1. Perform steps 1 through 3 as described under ``Pressure Regulator Test.''

2. Move adjusting switch, Fig. 3, to ``N'' position.
3. Start engine, then slightly increase engine speed while observing pressure gauge.
4. The gas filling pressure will be indicated when pressure gauge needle rises spontaneously to a pressure value and should be 73-77 bar (1059-1117 psi) for a new reservoir or a minimum of 60 bar (870 psi) for a used reservoir.
5. Stop engine, then move adjusting switch to ``M'' position to release oil pressure and remove pressure gauge.
6. Check system oil level and correct as necessary.
