ABS - Front Speed Sensors Modified, Resistance

SUBJECT: MODIFIED SPEED SENSORS ON FRONT AXLE MODELS 107, 124 AND 201 WITH ABS


Modified speed sensors have been installed in models 124 and 201 as of May 1985 and as of September 1985 in model 107.

The new sensors have a steel mounting flange and one tooth (previously aluminum mounting flange and two teeth). The internal resistance when checked with the ABS test adapter (126 589 09 21 00) "test steps 4 and 5" has also changed:

Internal Resistance: 850 - 2300 ohms

This test specification is valid for both modified and previous version sensors..
The previous and modified speed sensors are interchangeable.
