SUBJECT: MOUNTING BRACKET FOR TRAP OXIDIZER 1.24.1 AND 2.26.1 MODEL YEARS 1986 (CALIFORNIA ONLY) AND 1987 (ALL)
Since January 1989, trap oxidizers provided with a threaded bore and M8 stud for a mounting bracket are being supplied.

If it is necessary to replace a trap oxidizer, the additional bracket must be used. When subject vehicles come in for service or repair, check to see if the trap oxidizer already has the mounting stud for the bracket. If so, install the bracket.
