Test C (Vacuum Circuit 2, Fresh/Recirc Flap 42)

TEST C:
TESTING VACUUM CIRCUIT 2, VACUUM ELEMENTS FOR FRESH AIR/RECIRCULATION AIR FLAP (42) FOR LEAKS:

Preparation for Test:

Check Valve (36):

1. Disconnect dark red/green vacuum line at check valve (36) and connect tester to vacuum line.
2. Switch on ignition.

NOTE: The tester remains connected to the dark red/green vacuum line for the entire duration of the test.

Test Procedure:



1. Press the "OFF" function key on the control panel.
2. Evacuate with tester (approx. 400 mbar) and read pressure gauge.
3. If the reading on pressure gauge changes, test vacuum elements (42) individually and replace if necessary or test middle green/light blue and dark red vacuum lines and replace if necessary.
