Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

Removing and Installing Charge Air Pipe






Slacken hose clamp and disconnect pressure line (transparent) on charge air pipe.
Disconnect connector on pressure switch (566).

Remove pressure switch (566)
On installation, renew seal (138c).

Remove bracket (127).

Remove 12 screw-and-washer assemblies (108).
On installation, start in the center working outwards, torquing to 25 Nm.

Remove charge air connecting line (138a).
On installation, renew seal (138b).

Remove charge air pipe (138).
On installation, renew gasket (106).

Note: Engines 603.960/963/971
Gasket of boost air pipe to cylinder head made of improved material.
