Front Door Window Motor: Service and Repair

Removal and installation of electric window opener on driver's door

Removal

1. Remove door lining.
2. Remove plastic sheeting.





3. Crank window down until nut on window opening rail can be seen at the front in cutout of inside door panel.
4. Protect window against sliding down by means of a plastic wedge.






5. Disconnect electrical connections on cable connector.






6. Unscrew nut on window opening rail front and remove window opener arm.





7. Unscrew nuts on window opener.






8. Unscrew nuts on guide rail and remove guide rail from guide element in forward direction.






9. Pull out window opener with motor from window opener rail and take out in downward direction,

Installation






10. Insert window opener arm with guide element from front end into window opener rail.
