REQUIREMENTS
a. All tests are to be performed after engine has reached normal operating temperature.
b. All accessories must be switched off.
c. The engine must be in good mechanical working order and free from electrical misfires.

TESTING PROCEDURE

Diagnostic Socket:

Diagnostic Socket Location:

1. Connect multimeter between diagnostic socket pin 3 and ground.
2. Start the engine and run at idle speed.

Oxygen Sensor Connector Location:

3. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
4. While measuring, the indicated voltage should not oscillate. Note measured control value (should be between 2.1 - 4.8 V).

NOTE: If the voltage oscillates, the oxygen sensor plug is not disconnected or an other system fault is present.

5. Connect oxygen sensor plug. Voltage should oscillate.

NOTE: If the voltage is fixed (not oscillating), the oxygen sensor is disconnected or an other system fault is present.

6. Note mean (middle point) value.
7. Differance between the two readings (step 4 and 6) should be less then 0.8 V. If the differance is greater then 0.8 V, adjust control value. Adjusting the Air/Fuel Mixture
