Oxygen Sensor Warning Lamp

O2 Sensor Replacement Control Unit:

PURPOSE
California market vehicles feature an "OXYGEN SENSOR" replacement indicator (A1e33) in the instrument cluster. The warning lamp illuminates every 60,000 miles (96,000 Km), indicating O2-sensor replacement.

LOCATION
The O2-sensor replacement control unit is located in the passenger side footwell.

OPERATION
The hall effect sensor output on the speedometer provides the milage information to the control unit. The O2-sensor replacement control unit (N44/1) activates the replacement indicator light in the instrument cluster.
