Temperature Switch (110 Degree C)

High Temperature Cutout Switch Location:

PURPOSE

The 110°C temperature switch, which is located near the water pump, deactivates the compressor clutch via the compressor cut-out control unit to prevent engine overheat.

OPERATION

At coolant temperatures of approx. 230°F (110°C), the temperature switch disengages the A/C compressor via a ground signal to the compressor cut-out control unit. As the temperature drops below approx. 217°F (103°C) the temperature switch circuit is opened, reactivating the compressor.
