Campaign - Check/Replace ESP Hydraulic Unit Bracket Weld
Campaign No. 2012080002, September 2012TO: ALL MERCEDES-BENZ CENTERS
SUBJECT:
Model 906, Model Year 2012
Check ESP Hydraulic Unit Bracket Weld, Replace if Necessary
This Service Campaign has been initiated because Daimler AG (DAG), the manufacturer of Freightliner and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles, has determined that on certain vehicles, due to a supplier issue, the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) hydraulic unit bracket may not have been properly welded. An authorized Freightliner or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter dealer will check the bracket weld, and if necessary replace the ESP hydraulic unit bracket at the next workshop visit.
Prior to performing this Service Campaign:
^ Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired.
^ Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described.
Please note that Recall and Service Campaigns do not expire and may also be performed on a vehicle with a vehicle status indicator.
Approximately 3,147 vehicles are affected.
