1 Remove cap (93).
Break off locking pin plate (93a) and press out locking pin (93a) remaining in cap (93) downwards.
2 Insert funnel into opening of oil filler pipe and add the specified quantity of automatic transmission fluid.
3 Start engine and let it idle for approx. 1 minute with the selector lever position in "P".
Apply parking brake
4 Apply service brake and shift through all gear ranges several times with vehicle stationary and engine running at idle speed
Stay in each gear range for approx. 10 s. Afterwards shift transmission into position "P" again.
5 Check the current transmission oil temperature using the DAS (DAS).
6 Check transmission oil level with oil dipstick and correct if necessary.
Check oil level when engine is running. When the transmission is cold (approx. 25 °C) the oil level reading must be in the cold measuring range (A). With a hot transmission (approx. 80 °C), the oil level reading must be in t he warm measuring range (B). Decisive for the correct transmission oil level is the warm measuring range (A) for a hot transmission at operating temperature (70 °C to 90 °C).
It is essential to drain excess transmission oil or extract it using a hand pump. During the extraction process, extreme cleanliness must be observed as otherwise malfunctions may occur.
7 Fit plug (93) on oil filler pipe and install new locking pin (93a).
The locking pin (93a) must lock in place.
