AN46.11-P-0001-01GQ Retrofit Steering Wheel Heater Power Supply Wiring Harness

AN46.11-P-0001-01GQ Retrofit Steering Wheel Heater Power Supply Wiring Harness
Model 166.0

1 Attach round cable lug with inside diameter of 6 mm at brown line (BN).
2 Connect brown line (BN) of wiring harness for voltage supply to cockpit ground point (W1/4).
3 Route red/white line (RD/WH) of power supply wiring harness from cockpit ground point (W1/4) along the vehicle wiring harness to the cockpit fuse box circuit 30 (F3/2).
4 Fasten red/white line (RD/WH) using cable tie to vehicle wiring harness.
5 Plug contact of red/white line (RD/WH) into the contact cavity 11 of the cockpit fuse box, circuit 30 (F3/2).
6 Install electrical fuse with a 10 amp rating into slot "11" of the cockpit fuse box, circuit 30 (F3/2).
7 Route brown line (BN) and red/white line (RD/WH) of power supply wiring harness along the vehicle wiring harness to the yellow 14-pin coupling (1) of the steering column tube switch module wiring harness.
The routing must be on the vehicle wiring harness above the steering column tube. If this is not done, the brown line (BN) and the red/white line (RD/WH) may become twisted around the steering column tube when steering.
8 Fasten brown line (BN) and red/white line (RD/WH) of power supply wiring harness using cable ties to the vehicle wiring harness.
9 Remove fuse from 14-pin yellow coupling (1) of steering column tube switch module.
10 Install red/white line (RD/WH) into slot "6" of the yellow 14-pin coupling (1) of the steering column tube switch module.
11 Install brown line (BN) into slot "7" of the yellow 14-pin coupling (1) of steering column tube switch module.
12 Install fuse into yellow 14-pin coupling (1).
13 Fasten brown line (BN) and red/white line (RD/WH) using cable tie to the wiring harness on the steering column tube switch module.
Fasten brown line (BN) and red/white line (RD/WH) such that they do cannot get caught on the steering column tube.
