1 Fit round cable lug with inside diameter of 6 mm to brown line (br).
The round cable lug can be found in the wiring harness repair kit "passenger car" supplement.
2 Connect round cable lug of brown line (br) to center console ground point (W12).
Operation steps 3 to 5 must only be performed in vehicles without code (537) Digital radio
or without code (810) Sound System.
3 Release lock at black 44-pin connector (1).
4 Insert contact spring of gray/black line (gr/sw) into cavity 16 of black 44-pin connector (1).
5 Close lock of black 44-pin connector (1).
Operation step 6 must only be carried out in vehicles with code (537) Digital radio or code (810) Sound system.
6 Connect gray/black line (gr/sw) with a potential distributor to the existing gray/black line of the vehicle wiring harness.
The existing gray/black line of the vehicle wiring harness is in cavity 16 of the black 44-pin connector (1).
The potential distributor can be found in the wiring harness repair kit "passenger car" supplement.
7 Route electrical connector of media interface control unit (N125/1) to center tunnel (2).
Ensure that the line is sufficiently long to connect the media interface control unit later.
8 Route red line (rt) along the vehicle wiring harness (3) to the battery compartment prefuse box (F33).
9 Fix red line (rt) in place on vehicle wiring harness (3) using cable ties.
10 Release catch hooks (arrows) and lift battery compartment prefuse box (F33).
11 Insert contact of red line (rt) into cavity 5 of fuse carrier MF2 (4) and install fuse carrier MF2 (4) at battery compartment prefuse box (F33).
12 Form loops with extended length of red line (rt) beneath the battery compartment prefuse box (F33) and secure with cable ties.
13 Secure battery compartment prefuse box (F33).
