GF77.20-D-2048H Rear Sliding Roof Unit Normalization, Function

GF77.20-D-2048H Rear Sliding Roof Unit Normalization, Function

- with CODE (D24) Power tilting/sliding roof, passenger compartment

Normalization must be performed if denormalization has taken place before

Performing normalization

Close rear tilting/sliding roof (M12/1) with tilting/sliding roof control button (N70s1) until the mechanical stop (closed position) is reached and continue to actuate the tilting/sliding roof control button. The DBE control unit (N70) continues to actuate the rear tilting/sliding roof motor (M12/1m1) and sets the position counter to "0", if it has recognized a lock-up of the rear tilting/sliding roof motor for at least t = 0.5 s. However, normalization is only performed if the DBE control unit does not recognize Hall sensor pulses during this time.

Moreover, the rear tilting/sliding roof Hall sensor (M12/1b1) and rear tilting/sliding Hall sensor (M12/1b2) should recognize at least 3 signal edges before the mechanical stop (closed position) is reached.

It is not possible to normalize via the "automatic closing" function. These functions are not possible in the denormalized state.

If the normalization is performed successfully, the DBE control unit can switch off the rear tilting/sliding roof motor with the "Convenience opening", "Convenience closing" and "Automatic opening or closing" functions of the rear tilting/sliding roof before the mechanical stop is reached.

Perform normalization

Function requirements:
- Rear tilting/sliding roof normalized
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
Overvoltage is present when voltage > 16.5 V. Undervoltage is present when voltage < 9 V.

Renormalization is performed automatically, when the rear tilting/ sliding roof is moved to the mechanical stop (closed position) for t = 0.5 s.

Renormalization serves for compensation of the mechanical tolerances and interferences. Renormalization is accomplished every 10th time the mechanical stop is reached (closed position) to protect the rear tilting/sliding roof mechanism

No renormalization takes place when the following lights are switched on, to prevent variations in the brightness of the corresponding lamps:
- Left front dome lamp (N70e1)
- Right front dome lamp (N70e2)
- Left front reading lamp (N70e3)
- Right front reading lamp (N70e4)
On the "Convenience closing" function, renormalization is not performed.
