1 For the teach-in position the vehicle backwards at a distance of 50 cm (b) in front of a wall.
On vehicles with detachable trailer hitch, this must be fitted.
In order to avoid malfunctions when teaching in, it is important to avoid metal walls (garage door) and glossy white walls. Keep detection range (A) free.

2 Switch on ignition and engage reverse gear.
The control unit signals the start of the teach in with a dual signal tone. Within 100 s a long signal tone must sound, this signal tone confirms the successful teach in.







If the teach in was successful, continue with operation step 3; if not, troubleshooting must be carried out.

3 Separate the blue line (1) of the wiring harness of the power supply (2) and strip off the insulation.
4 Check function of ultrasonic backup assist.
