Location
The PTS control unit is located below the driver seat.

Task
The PTS control unit performs the following tasks:
- Power supply to the sensors and warning elements
- Actuation of the sensors
- Programming of sensors over parameter records
- Evaluation of echo run times for computation of obstacle distance
- Bidirectional data transfer from and to the warning elements
- System diagnosis and treatment of fault
- Data exchange over the Controller Area Network bus Class B (interior) (CAN-B)
