GF72.29-D-2015H Excess Force Limiter, Function
- with CODE (T55) Electrical actuation for right sliding door
- with CODE (T56) Electrical actuation for left sliding door
General
When the anti-pinch protection is activated, the corresponding electric load compartment sliding door (E-LST) is stopped as soon as pinching is recognized and opened slightly (parameterizable). If the path required to open completely is shorter than the parameterizable opening motion, the corresponding sliding door is opened completely.
Anti-pinch protection is realized under the following conditions:
- Evaluation of current motor monitoring (right sliding door drive (M73/1) or left sliding door drive (M73/2))
- Reference value stored in memory
- Battery voltage
The excess force limiter is always activated during automatic closing and opening of the E-LST.When closed or opened manually and when the E-LST is normalized, the excess force limiter is activated with higher threshold values.
Adaptive excess force limiter
Adaptation is required when the E-LST is sluggish (e.g. dirt or ice). Here, the E-LST is opened and closed with increased force. These values are stored in the right sliding door control unit (N69/6) or left sliding door control unit (N69/7).When sluggishness is eliminated, the increased values are reset.
The following reactions are differentiated after pinching:
- Automatic closing
E-LST opens completely (parameterizable)
- Manual closing
E-LST opens 20 mm (parameterizable)
- Automatic opening
E-LST closes 50 mm (parameterizable)
- Manual opening
E-LST closes 20 mm (parameterizable)
- During reversing
E-LST stops
- Pinching while driving
Anti-pinch protection is accomplished, however, no reversing (prevents lock opening)
