GF72.29-D-0004H Electric Load Compartment Sliding Door (E-LST) Function

GF72.29-D-0004H Electric Load Compartment Sliding Door (E-LST) Function

- with CODE (T55) Electrical actuation for right sliding door

- with CODE (T56) Electrical actuation for left sliding door

General

The electric load compartment sliding door system (E-LST) is a system for opening and closing the corresponding E-LST with maximum security.

The E-LST system can be operated with the following switches and buttons:
- Outer and inner handle of corresponding E-LST
- Transmitter button "Unlock sliding door, rear-end door and open/close sliding door" in transmitter key (A8/1)
- Left sliding door button (N72/1s1) or right sliding door button (N72/1s11) of OBF control unit (N72/1)
- Left sliding door button (S159/2) or right sliding door button (S159/1) in corresponding B-pillar

In addition on vehicles with code (FY9) Key-less entry+slide automatic opening and closing is possible

The E-LST system is equipped with the following functions to satisfy the safety and comfort requirements:
- Anti-pinch protection
- Blockage detection
- Reversing
- Excess force limiter
- Play protection
- Child-proof locks
- Lock while driving

Obstruction protection

Obstruction protection Evaluation of the obstruction sensor strip on the doors is accomplished by the right sliding door control unit (N69/6) or left sliding door control unit (N69/7) by comparing the input voltage at the control unit with the battery voltage.

Lockup recognition

When the E-LST is activated, the right sliding door drive (M73/1) or the left sliding door drive (M73/2) is switched off in spite of further actuation requests, if the engine monitoring does not recognize sufficient plausible values.

In the case of sluggishness, the corresponding E-LST can be closed mechanically or in increments of 500 ms.

Reversing

The following 2 types can be differentiated:
- Obstacle recognition in opening direction
- Obstacle recognition in closing direction

Obstacle recognition in opening direction

The E-LST reverses a defined path stored in the right sliding door control unit or left sliding door control unit and then stops.

Obstacle recognition in closing direction

The E-LST reverses completely up to the open end position.

Excess force limiter

The excess force limiter is activated during automatic closing or opening. When closed or opened manually and when the E-LST is normalized, the excess force limiter is activated with higher threshold values.

The excess force limiter causes the E-LST to stop and reverse.

Play protection (thermal protection)

If contradictory signals are received in rapid sequence (10 door motions in approx. 60 s), the E-LST is stopped. After approx. 30 s, it is possible to operate the E-LST as usual.

Child safety lock

When the child safety lock (mechanical switch) is engaged, the status is transmitted to the right sliding door or left sliding door control unit by an electronic switch. When the child safety lock is activated and the left or right sliding door is closed, it is no longer possible to operate the left or right sliding door button integrated into the B-pillar or the corresponding door handle.

Lock while driving

The opening and reversing function is inhibited after reaching a certain vehicle speed.

The right sliding door control unit or left sliding door control unit receives the speed signals from the following control units separately, in order to evaluate them independently in the event of implausible data:
- Instrument cluster (A1)
- EIS [EZS] control unit (N73)
Closing the E-LST is still possible, at any time, while driving.
