GF72.29-D-4003H Synchronization Of Power Windows, Function
Normalization means learning in the upper window stop (zero point) in the following control units:
- Driver door control unit (N69/1)
- SAM control unit (N10)
Normalization, function
The corresponding window is completely closed with the driver power window button (S47s1) or front passenger power window button (S47s2) as well as the front passenger power window switch (S21/2). The driver power window button or the front passenger power window button must be held down.
The driver door control unit or SAM control unit then sets the position counter for the Hall signals to zero if it recognizes a lockup of the driver door power window motor (M10/1) or front passenger door power window motor (M10/2) for at least 0.3 s.
Normalization is prerequisite for:
- Automatic raising (except code (ZU7) National version for Canada and except code (ZU8) National version for USA)
- Short stroke
- Switching off power window motors before limit stop
- Excess force limiter
Renormalization
Renormalization is accomplished automatically when there is an error in the position recognition, for example, if the position counter indicates a negative status.
Denormalization, function
Denormalization is performed:
- When power is supplied to c 30 for min. 60 s < 6.5 V
- If, during automatic raising, the window (except code (ZU7) National version for Canada and except code (ZU8) National version for USA) has reached a position counter status beyond the negative zero point tolerance or stored zero point.
- If the window has reached a position counter status exceeding the maximum window travel during automatic lowering.
- As soon as a Hall sensor signal of the driver door power window motor or front passenger door power window motor is erroneous for at least 12 armature rotations.
Actuation of the temperature protection switch in the driver door power window motor or front passenger door power window motor does not lead to denormalization
