1 Put together externally toothed plates (15, 17, 18) and internally toothed plates (16) in the sequence shown and insert individually.

A different number of external plates (17) and internal plates (16) are fitted depending on the transmission version.

Place new externally toothed plates and internally toothed plates in ATF oil 1 h before installation.

2 Install circlip (19).

Both ends of the circlip (19) must be seated on a lug of the external plate carrier (arrows).





3 Mount pressure device on externally toothed plate (18).
4 Press clutch pack together as far as the end stop using pressure device and a lever press.

The marking ring (bottom arrow) must still be visible.

5 Using a feeler gauge, check plate play (L) at three points between circlip (19) and external plate (18).

To measure the toothed plate play (L) the circlip (19) must abut with the upper contact surface of the groove.

If necessary, adjust the toothed plate play (L) by installing a circlip (19) of corresponding thickness.
