Location

The starter lockout contact is located in the electrical control unit and is permanently connected to the conductor tracks.

Task

The starter lockout contact detects the selector valve and gear selection switch positions "P" and "N".

Function

The starter lockout contact is operated in gear selector switch positions "P" and "N". As a result the permanent magnet is moved away by the dry-reed contact. The dry-reed contact is opened. The ETC control unit (N15/3) receives an electrical signal. The circuit to the starter (M1) is closed in selector lever positions "P" and "N".
