GF27.10-D-3003H Ignition Lock Locking, Function
- TRANSMISSION 722.6

"0" Transmitter key in position 0
"1" Transmitter key in position 1
53 Ignition lock control cable
59 Ignition lock
60 Locking valve
61 Blocking cam
62 Compression spring
63 Ignition adapter housing
65 Selector lever

The mechanical system of the ignition lock interlock connects the selector lever with the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73). It prevents the transmitter key from being removed when selector lever position "P" is not engaged.

When the parking lock is not engaged (selector lever position "D", "R", "N") the blocking slide blocks the blocking cam. The compression spring only pulls the blocking slide away from the blocking cam in selector lever position "P". The transmitter key can now be turned into position "0" and removed.
