Battery test with Midtronics
The "Midtronics" battery test equipment is used to test all battery types (wet-cell and mat-type batteries) used by Daimler.

Additional batteries (traction batteries) without cold test current specification cannot be tested with the Midtronics. On these only the voltage can be checked.

New operation items simplify warranty processing.
The battery data and the test code can be recorded on the repair order already. This means that there is no need to fill out the "Test sheet for on-board electrical system batteries".

The new operation items are:
54-1108 Check starter battery for condition

54-1158 Check condition of batteries (both)
Terminal stamp: ................. Batt. part no.: .............
Test code: .............

These operation items replace the following items:
54-1105 Check battery power output and condition.
54-1107 Check batteries (both) for power and condition.

The recorded data are to be entered on the W&G application in the note field.
The Midtronics printout is to bear the vehicle identification number and the inspection date, the Midtronics printout is to also be filed in a tamperproof manner.
