Engine functions
The PSM control unit provides the possibility of influencing functions in the engine control unit.
For this purpose several parameterizable function modules have been implemented which ensure the correct operation of the engine control unit.

Only the functions of working speed control (inch. fixed speed and hand throttle actuator) and power take-off (PTO) are possible on gasoline engines. The engine speed limit, torque limit and vehicle speed limit (GB) functions as well as the engine remote start/stop function are not supported.

Function "Working speed control"
The actual speed of the engine can be regulated via the working speed control function.
On the one hand several fixed rpm can be specified, on the other hand the rpm can also be freely adjusted via buttons.
For safety reasons, the working speed control function can only be used on a stationary vehicle with the hand brake applied.

Function "PTO"
The PTO function is used to control activation of the PTO on vehicles with PTO.
To prevent damage to the transmission, various conditions can be queried.

Speed limit (GB) function
The speed limit (GB) function is used to switch on a parameterizable speed limit.

Engine remote start/stop function
With the engine remote start/stop function, the engine can be stopped and started again via the PSM control unit.

The engine remote start/stop function is only possible if the working speed control function is active. If, following engine stop, the working speed control function is deactivated, engine start is no longer possible.

Parameterizable options for function enable
In the software, there are several options which can be used to activate and deactivate specific function modules and a number of specific functions of these function modules.
These can be found within the individual functions under "Property parameterization".
