1 Spring off thrust ring (1) with chisel and remove.
2 Heat up new thrust ring (1) to approx. 80 °C and slide on as far as the end stop on the axle tube.

Do not swap the thrust rings for the right and left side as they have a twist which delivers the oil back again over the sealing lip of the radial shaft sealing ring. Leakages would be certain to occur if incorrectly installed.

To prevent confusion, the thrust ring for the right side is color coded in the chamfer.
