The rotary light switch (S1) is in the "left parking lamp" position and sends "left parking lamp ON" to the SAM control unit (N10). The SAM control unit actuates the standing light (E1e3) in the left lamp unit (E1) and the taillight (E3e2) in the left taillamp (E3) in model 906.611/613/631/633/635/637/ 653/655/657/711/713/731/733/735 or the taillight (E3/6e2) in the left taillamp (E3/6) in model 906.111/113/131/133/ 135/153/155/211/213/231/233/235/253/255

The rotary light switch is in the "Right parking lamp" position and signals "Right parking lamp ON" to the SAM control unit. The SAM control unit actuates the standing light (E2e3) in the right lamp unit (E2) and the taillight (E4e2) in the right taillamp (E4) in model 906.611/613/631/633/635/637/ 653/655/657/711/713/731/733/735 or the taillight (E4/6e2) in the right taillamp (E4/6) in model 906.111/113/131/133/ 135/153/155/211/213/231/233/235/253/255

At the same time, in vehicles with code (E43) Trailer hitch socket or with code (E40) Trailer socket 7-pin, the signals for actuating the above-listed lamps on the trailer are forwarded over the interior CAN (CAN B) to the trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit (N28/1).
