GF82.10-D-1001H Headlamp Range Adjustment (HRA) Headlamp Function

GF82.10-D-1001H Headlamp Range Adjustment (HRA) Headlamp Function

- except CODE (LG1) Xenon headlamps
- except CODE (CE2) Rear air suspension

General
The headlamp range adjustment (LWR) is installed as standard passive safety equipment in vehicles fitted with halogen headlamps to prevent them dazzling oncoming traffic.
The LWR serves to keep the incline angle of the driving lights specific to the given vehicle load and position of the headlamp range controller (S1/1) within the legally prescribed limits.

Function
"Terminal 61 ON" is a function requirement for the LWR of the halogen headlamps.
The headlamp range controller has the positions "0", "1", "2" and "3".
The individual positions are to be adapted to the load conditions of the vehicle. The headlamp range controller is read in directly by the SAM control unit (N10). The SAM control unit actuates the headlamp range adjustment motor (E1m1) in the left lamp unit (E1) and the headlamp range adjustment motor (E2m1) in the right lamp unit (E2).
