Location
The two air conditioner additional fans are located at the front between the front condenser and the front bumper at the radiator module.

Task
The two air conditioner additional fans ensure that the front condenser and the radiator are cooled down when the vehicle is stationary or driving.

Function
Function requirement: "circuit 15 ON".
Depending on how it is actuated by the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (S98), the additional fan relay (K9) switches the two air conditioner additional fans into a series or parallel connection. In the event of the following coolant temperatures or refrigerant pressures, the two air conditioner additional fans are switched on or off.







As soon as stage 2 is connected, it is no longer actuated by the additional fan relay (holding relay). When switching back to stage 1, stage 2 is switched off first and after 3 s (parameterizable) stage 1 is switched on again.

Stage 2 is not switched on directly. Stage 1 is switched on for at least 3 s at first.

During the starting procedure, the two air conditioner additional fans are not switched on.
