Location
The front evaporator is located in the front AC housing.

Task
The refrigerant in the front evaporator removes heat from the ambient air, whereby the ambient air and the fresh or recirculated air flowing by are cooled down. Since the refrigerant absorbs heat in the front evaporator, it becomes gaseous.
