GF83.40-D-2001H Refrigeration Cycle Function

GF83.40-D-2001H Refrigeration Cycle Function

- with CODE (HH9) "Tempmatic" regulated air conditioning

17 Front evaporator
25 Front expansion valve
31 Front desiccant cartridge
32 Front condenser
A High pressure (gaseous)
B High pressure (liquid)
C Low pressure (liquid)
D Low pressure (gaseous)
A9 Refrigerant compressor

The refrigerant compressor that is driven by the engine compresses the refrigerant vapor that is drawn in by the low pressure (gaseous), causing it to heat up. The refrigerant vapor is then forwarded through the high pressure (gaseous) into the front condenser. There the compression heat is removed from the refrigerant over the surface of the condenser, causing it to cool down. As it is cooling down, the refrigerant liquefies (condenses). Then the liquid refrigerant is routed to the front desiccant cartridge by the high pressure (liquid) (B). Any contamination or water content in the liquid refrigerant is removed in the front desiccant cartridge. After being cleaned in the front desiccant cartridge, the liquid refrigerant is forwarded through the high pressure (liquid) to the front expansion valve. The front expansion valve regulates the flow of refrigerant to the front evaporator as a function of the low pressure (gaseous) and the temperature at the outlet of the front evaporator. From the front expansion valve, the refrigerant, which is part liquid, part gaseous, is forwarded through the low pressure (liquid) into the front evaporator.

The refrigerant evaporates in the front evaporator. Due to this evaporation process, heat and air humidity are removed from the fresh or recirculated air blowing by from the outside via the tubular and honeycomb-like system of the front evaporator, causing the air to cool down and dry. The air humidity carried along is converted to condensed water, which is routed to the outside. The refrigerant compressor draws in the refrigerant which has become gaseous again due to heat absorption, via the low pressure (gaseous) and compresses it again.
