AN83.70-D-0001-03S Retrofit Wiring Harness







1 Lift seat base (3), insert stationary heater electrical wiring harness (1) from above into seat base (3) and lead out of left cutout on side.
2 Route stationary heater electrical wiring harness (1) along entrance into left footwell and secure with felt tape (2).
3 Remove cable tie (6) on rubber grommet (5) on left side of vehicle from undercarriage.
4 Slide branch-off line (1.1) of stationary heater electrical wiring harness (1) through rubber grommet (5).
5 Route branch-off line (1.1) along existing vehicle wiring harness and secure with cable tie.
6 Connect electrical connector of branch-off line (1.1) to connector of 8-pin auxiliary water heater (N33/3x1) and to connector of 4-pin auxiliary water heater (N33/3x2).
7 Connect remaining electrical connector of branch-off line (1.1) to metering pump (M46/1) on heater (7).
8 Reinstall cable tie (6) on rubber grommet (5).
9 Connect brown ground line (1.3) to driver seat base ground point 2 (W71/2).
10 Fit relay socket on branch-off line (1.2) into slot 10 of relay strip (4).
11 Fit fan blower setting relay 1 (K23/1) into relay socket of branch-off line (1.2) on relay strip (4).
Only on vehicles without code (HH9) Automatic air conditioning (Tempmatic).

12 Loosen 9-pin fuse block (F55/5) from seat base (3) with lines connected.
13 Connect red/black electrical line (1.4) to slot 26 of 9-pin fuse block (F55/5).
14 Connect circuit 30 cable bridge to 9-pin fuse block (F55/5) such that slot 26 is supplied with voltage.
15 Insert a 25 A fuse into slot 26 on 9-pin fuse block (F55/5).
16 Reinstall 9-pin fuse block (F55/5).







17 Connect brown ground line (1.5, 1.6) of stationary heater to left firewall ground point (W43/1).
18 Disconnect electrical connector (8) from fuse and relay box (SRB) (K40/9).
19 Cut gray/blue electrical line (9) on electrical connector (8) (plug "X1" channel 2) and reconnect together with blue electrical line (1.7) of stationary heater (see picture).
Create Y-shaped branch-off line to stationary heater wiring harness.

20 Reconnect electrical connector (8) to fuse and relay box (SRB) (K40/9).
21 Loosen 9-pin fuse block (F55/2) from bracket (10) and lead out downwards with lines connected.
22 Turn 9-pin fuse block (F55/2) to rear.







23 Release locking pin (11) from 9-pin fuse block (F55/2).
24 Connect plug of red electrical line (1.8) to slot 12 of 9-pin fuse block (F55/2).
25 Connect plug of red/yellow electrical line (1.9) to slot 13 of 9- pin fuse block (F55/2).
26 Engage locking pin (11) and insert 30 A electrical fuse into slot 12 of 9-pin fuse block (F55/2).







27 Connect electrical connector of branch-off line (1.10) to slot 6 of body CAN bus connector (X30/25).
Only on vehicles with code (HH9) Automatic air conditioning (Tempmatic).

28 Route branch-off line (1.11) towards the top left such that, when installing the instrument cluster paneling, the heater booster/stationary heater button (S46/11) can be clipped into the left mount.
29 Strap down remaining branch-off lines of stationary heater wiring harness.
Only in vehicles with installed circulation pump with code (HH9) Regulated air conditioning, (Tempmatic).







30 Route stationary heater wiring harness (1) along interior wiring harness to right footwell and secure with cable tie.
Only on vehicles without code (HH9) Automatic air conditioning (Tempmatic).

31 Connect electrical line (1.12) to blower setting connector 1 (X31/10).
Only on vehicles without code (HH9) Automatic air conditioning (Tempmatic).







Only when retrofitting the circulation pump (M13/4).

32 Remove cable tie (14) from rubber grommet (13) in engine compartment.
33 Slide branch-off line (1.14) of stationary heater wiring harness from interior through rubber grommet (13).
34 Reinstall cable tie (14) on rubber grommet (13).
35 Route branch-off line (1.14) of stationary heater wiring harness along engine wiring harness to circulation pump (M13/4) and secure with cable ties.
36 Connect electrical connector of branch-off line (1.14) to circulation pump (M13/4).
