Centering sleeve





1 Place radial shaft sealing ring-crankshaft (8) on timing case cover (10) and press on lightly.

Do not lubricate or grease crankshaft journal and sealing lip of radial shaft sealing ring-crankshaft (8). Grease on the tilted stays of sealing lip of radial shaft sealing ring-crankshaft (8) prevents back transport of engine oil into the crankcase.

2 Push centering sleeve (9) onto the crankshaft.

Turn centering sleeve (9) to ensure that the groove on the centering sleeve (9) is aligned with the parallel key (7) in crankshaft.

3 Pull radial shaft sealing ring-crankshaft (8) over the centering sleeve (9) using the center bolt (4) and washer (5).
