AP20.00-D-2010-01H Correcting Anticorrosion/Antifreeze Concentration

Calculation table for refill quantity

A Anticorrosion/ antifreeze agent concentration
B Coolant fill quantity, total
C Calculated refill quantity

Shown on calculation example of refill quantity

1 Enter the calculated anticorrosion/antifreeze concentration (A) in the calculation table.

According to the comparison table, a measured antifreeze up to 20 °C corresponds to an anticorrosion/antifreeze agent concentration (A) of 32 % by volume.

At a coolant fill quantity, total (B) of 8.5 l the calculated refill quantity (C) corresponds to 2.25 l.

2 Read the total coolant capacity (B) from the basic data table and enter it in the calculation table.
3 Work out the calculated refill quantity (C) of the anticorrosion/antifreeze agent using the calculation table.
4 Drain a quantity of coolant corresponding to the calculated refill quantity (C) at the radiator drain plug.
5 Pour in the calculated refill quantity (C) of antifreeze/antifreeze agent into the cooling system.
6 Start engine and run for about 1 minute at varying speeds.
