SI20.30-D-0004AK Service Information: Coolant Expansion Reservoir
Due to recent events we would like to point out that coolant expansion reservoirs should be checked for leaks with a pressure device before replacement.
As the excess coolant is diverted directly from the plug via the expansion reservoir, a part stops on the reservoir collar, evaporates and leaves behind crystals which deposit here. This can lead to the fact that the reservoir is deemed to be leaky. In order to avoids error yields before replacing the expansion reservoir, it should be checked for leaks with a pressure device.
We reserve the right to back debit leaktight coolant expansion reservoirs!
