GF91.30-D-0004H Front Heated Seats Function
- with CODE (H15) Heater for front passenger seat
- with CODE (H16) Heater for driver seat
Function requirements:
- Circuit 15R ON
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
The heated seats (HS [SIH]) system has 2 heating stages. In heating stage 1, the heated seats are pulsed at a frequency of 24 Hz and 33 % active time, while in heating sage 2 the heated seats are permanently activated. If the heated seat for the driver and front passenger side are switched to stage 1, the pulse/pause ratio for the two sides is controlled by the OBF control unit (N72/1) such that the active phase of one side takes place while the other side is in the off phase. The left heated seat button (N72/1s2) and right heated seat button (N72/1s10) are designed as buttons and automatically go back to the basic position after being actuated.
The 2 light emitting diodes (LEDs) in the left heated seat button or right heated seat button indicate the respective switch status of the heated seats.
The left heated seat button and right heated seat button are integrated in the OBF control unit. The OBF control unit controls the different electrical power absorption capacities and the heating time in the heating stages of the heated seats. The heated seats are automatically switched over from stage 2 to stage 1 after approximately t = 5 min. With a battery voltage of ≤ 11 V, the heated seats are automatically deactivated and reactivation is prevented. The LEDs in the left heated seat button or right heated seat button indicate this by flashing. If the battery voltage of ≤ 11 V is present for longer than t = 30 s, a fault is stored in the OBF control unit.
The battery voltage sent by the electronic ignition switch control unit (N73) serves as a basis for voltage detection.
