GF77.20-D-3001H Tilting/Sliding Roof Position Measurement, Function

GF77.20-D-3001H Tilting/Sliding Roof Position Measurement, Function

- with CODE (D27) Power glass tilting/sliding roof

Direction of rotation recognition

1 Square wave pulses from front tilting/ sliding roof Hall sensor (M12b1)
2 Square wave pulses from front tilting/ sliding roof hall sensor (M12b2)
360° One rotation of motor shaft

Position measurement

Function requirements:
- Circuit 30
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
Overvoltage is present when voltage > 16.5 V. Undervoltage is present when voltage < 9 V.

The position counter in the DBE control unit (N70) counts the Hall sensor pulses depending on the recognized direction of rotation of the front tilting/sliding roof Hall sensors on the front tilting/sliding roof motor (M12m1). The position "Front tilting/sliding roof (M12) closed" is defined as the zero position, i. e., if the front tilting/sliding roof is closed, the position counter should be set to zero. The zero position is set by the "Normalization" or "Denormalization" function.

Direction of rotation recognition

Function prerequisites:
- Circuit 30
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
Overvoltage is present when voltage > 16.5 V. Undervoltage is present when voltage < 9 V.

The front tilting/sliding roof Hall sensors are located on the shaft of the front tilting/sliding roof motor. They react to the motion of the solenoids located on the front tilting/sliding roof motor. Each motor shaft rotation supplies one square wave pulse to the front tilting/ sliding roof Hall sensors.

The DBE control unit reads in these Hall sensors pulses. The time offset of the pulses from the front tilting/sliding roof Hall sensors in relation to one another allows the DBE control unit to recognize the direction of rotation of the front tilting/sliding roof.
