GF80.20-D-4009H Automatic Locking, Function

The following function requirements must be fulfilled:
- Speed > 15 km/h
- Automatic locking activated.

Function sequence
The automatic locking function locks the vehicle centrally, as soon as the vehicle speed exceeds a value of 15 km/h.
The EIS control unit (N73) recognizes when this threshold has been exceeded by evaluation of the speed signal. The EIS control unit transmits the message "Lock" via the Control Area Network bus, class B (interior compartment) (CAN-B) to the driver door control unit N69/1) and SAM control unit (N10). They activate locking of the following doors:
- Driver door, front passenger door
- Left and right door (crewcab) (model 906.2)
- Right sliding door, with code (T16) Right load compartment sliding door, or left sliding door, with code (T19) Left sliding door
- Left sliding door, code (T55) Electrical actuation for right sliding door or left sliding door, with code (T56) Electrical actuation for left sliding door
- Rear-end doors (model 906.6/7)

A previously opened door is not locked.

The vehicle can be unlocked again by opening the driver or front passenger door from the inside or with the inside central locking button (N72/1s7) in the OBF control unit (N72/1) when the vehicle speed is below the limit. If the vehicle is unlocked with the inside central locking button, following automatic locking, the vehicle remains unlocked even at speeds above the speed threshold.

The initial status is achieved again by opening a door or switching circuit 15 on and off again. If, after automatic locking, a door is opened and closed again, while the vehicle speed is above the threshold speed this door is locked again after it is closed.

It is not possible to unlock with the inside central locking button in the OBF control unit, if the vehicle was previously locked centrally from outside.
