Before starting repair work in the interior compartment, install corresponding protective covers (e.g. floor coverings, seats, steering wheel) in the corresponding repair area to prevent dirt and damage.
Persons performing work in the interior compartment, should wear clean work clothing, clean shoes and have clean hands to prevent soiling and damage.
Since many equipment parts in the area of the interior compartment are installed and produced as special equipment, perform work in vehicle interior with greatest care possible.
Do not use soiled or unapproved tools to prevent soiling or damage (e.g. scratches, breakage on interior parts)
When removing bulky parts (e.g. bench seat, headliner, dashboard) always work with aid of second person to prevent damage.
When installing interior parts on points intended for this purpose, install insulating material or protective foils, if necessary replace insulating material and protective foil to prevent vibration and noise insulation.
Repair or replace damaged interior parts (particularly mounts such as clips, Velcro strips).
Always place removed interior parts on clean and soft subsurface.
Remove dirt with cleaners (see Workshop Equipment Manual) approved by Daimler and suitable for corresponding surfaces.
