Cabin Ventilation Grille: Service and Repair



AR83.10-D-0011-01B Install Vent Grille







1 Clean bonding areas on all parts as well as the side wall (1) and apply primer.
2 Mask off area around bonding surface of side wall (1) on inside and outside.
3 Apply white sealing adhesive (3) to inside areas of side wall (1) and insert metal frame (2) with opening facing upwards.







4 Apply white sealing adhesive (3) to ventilation slats on inside (4).
5 Position inside of ventilation slats (4) onto side wall (1) and fasten in place using bolts (5).
6 Stick inside of ventilation slats (4) using white sealing adhesive (3) onto metal frame (2).
7 Remove visible adhesive material residue and the masking tape on the inside.







8 Make louvered insert (8).
Rivet on angle piece (6) with grille (7), as shown.
The folded part of the grille (7) must face away from the angle piece (6).

9 Place louvered insert (8) into side wall (1) and stick onto metal frame using white sealing adhesive (3).
The round hole of the grille (7) must be placed over the rear section (9) of the slat positioner. The angle piece (6) faces outwards.







10 Insert mist separator (10) and stick onto metal frame using broom yellow sealing adhesive (13).
11 Apply broom yellow sealing adhesive (13) to ventilation slats on outside (11).
Do not bond the drain holes (12).

12 Position outside of ventilation slats (11) onto side wall (1) and fasten in place using bolts (14).
13 Caulk outside of the ventilation slats (11) using broom yellow sealing adhesive (13).
14 Remove visible adhesive material residue and the masking tape.
